This project had two different phases.
The first team had a very long path by exploring a survival game with a traditional painting look, that would show a visual connection with the rupester art. In the second phase we keep that aim, but the game direction changed drastically and the art direction moved to a more stylized look, with simple screen levels and a new Ui design and animations. In this phase optimizing time with modular pieces was the key.
As a lot of indie projects has to be addapted to new goals, here I was in charge of the art direction and with a reduced team we tried to respect the ideas we loved from the first team's project, but also acomplish the new brief to close the project on a very tight deadline.
Here you can see some of the brainstorming ideas and studies testing new aproaches all from the second phase.
All this work is property of Life Zero (Hiberus Games).

This was the first atempt trying to achieve a new animation process
